Joan Werber, D.O.

Dr. Joan Werber is one of Chicago's most well-respected Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologists. For more than two decades, Dr. Werber has counted among her patients many of the area's leading women physicians. They know, coming to Dr. Werber, they can rely on consummate personalized service and diagnostic expertise.

Dr. Werber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Boston University and a Doctor of Osteopathy from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980, where she completed her internship. Dr. Werber served as Resident in Radiology at Cook County Hospital and completed Fellowship training in Diagnostic Imaging (CT and Ultrasound) at Evanston Hospital and Northwestern University.

Licensed by the Illinois State Board of Medicine and the National Board of Medicine Examiners and Certified by the American Board of Radiology-Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Werber has served as Staff Radiologist at Evanston, Glenbrook and Louis Weiss Memorial Hospitals. She also was an Instructor in Diagnostic Radiology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

Dr. Werber has published articles in many of the leading medical journals and trade publications, including Annals of Surgery, American Journal of Surgery, Cancer, Chest, Radiology, and the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She is a member and active participant in the American Medical Association, American College of Radiology, American College of Osteopathic Radiology, Illinois State and Chicago Medical Societies, Chicago Radiology Society, American Osteopathic Association, American Association of Women Radiologists, Radiology Society of North America, and the Elizabeth Blackwell Society.
